GRA boss fired

The Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Mr Emmanuel Kofi Nti and two other commissioners have been relieved off their official duties at GRA.

The other two commissioners are Isaac Crentsil and Kwasi Asante Gyimah in charge of commissioner for customs and domestic tax respectively.

According to reports, Mr. Emmanuel Kofi Nti has been officially notified of the development and has been given up till a month to vacate his office.

Although government is yet to make public what led to his dismissal, there have been reports that Mr. Kofi Nti has not been proactive to meeting revenue target at the GRA.

Mr. Kofi Nti, who is a Tax Policy Advisor, was appointed Commissioner-General of the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) in February 2017.
