Gov’t to start issuing 10 years passports from April 1st

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has finally extended the validity period of the ordinary Ghanaian passports from five years to ten years.

According to the Ministry, it will start issuing the ten year passports from Monday, April 1st, 2019.

In a statement by the Ministry, it said that the validity of diplomatic and service passports, shall not exceed the five years as applied to the ordinary ones.

Meanwhile, it also stated that passports for children under 12 years will be maintained at the five years validity period.
