Gov’t to build ultra-modern film studio- Ofori- Atta

The 2019 budget termed “for is a stronger economy for jobs and stronger economy for jobs and prosperity” has focused on the creative art industry.

The honorable Minister in his delivery has said that in 2019 govt  will pursue the passing of a Legislative Instrument to establish a Secretariat for the National Film Authority” and will also facilitate the construction of an ultra-modern Film Production Studio to attract the international film community, to support the creative art industry.

" 200 acres of land they have secured as a village for the creative art industry", He said.

Mr. Ofori Atta said the project should attract tourist in the country.

The government promised to provide a fund for the creative arts industry in its 2016 Manifesto, to build nine theaters across nine regions (that is excluding Greater Accra). President of Creative Arts Council, Mark Okraku Mantey also told musicians last year that government had laid down plans to build the music recording studio and also take some Ghanaian music producers outside the country for training.
