GMA suspends intended strike

 

The Ghana Medical Association (GMA) has suspended its decision to withdraw services of its members.

The GMA, at its 4th National Executive Council meeting  meeting came up with a road map which suggested a withdrawal of services of its members.

The GMA has , however, in a statement rescinded its decision.

According to a statement dated August 4th 2018 and signed by the President of GMA, Dr. Frank Ankobea, " government has engaged GMA and considering the good faith being shown by both parties, NEC of the GMA has taken the decision to suspend the road map".

He added that doctors will continue to offer their services to the good people of Ghana.
