Ghanaian elected to ASI standards committee

The aluminum stewardship initiative (ASI) has announced the appointment of Mr. Abu Karimu, executive director of Settle Ghana to the standards committee of the organization.
In an email letter dated 10th February 2020, the chief executive of the ASI, Dr. Fiona Solomon congratulated Mr. Abu Karimu on his victory to the standards committee.
The aluminum stewardship initiative (ASI) is a standard setting and certification organization that aims to recognise and foster the responsible production, sourcing and stewardship of aluminum.
ASI’s performance standard covers critical issues for the entire aluminum value chain including biodiversity management in mining, indigenous people rights, greenhouse gas emissions, waste management and material stewardship.
