GFA/NC: Ghana Premier League will start in August- NC Boss Kofi Amoah reveals

Dr. Kofi Amoah, the Ghana Football Association/Normalization Committee President has revealed that the Ghana Premier League for 2019/20 season will start this August.
Speaking to reporters after Kotoko’s win over Karela United in the NC special competition Tier I, Dr. Amoah said “the next league will start in August, the GFA will officially communicate to all the Clubs although they (the Clubs) have an idea about it. You must know that we are going through the normalization process, changing the statutes of the GFA, FIFA have approved what we’ve done so far, and we have to put them before Congress for them to approve it. If they approve it, we will go for an elections, starting from district level, to regional and national’ he ended.
Mr Amoah who has been mandated to lead a four (4) member committee in normalizing Ghana football, after Anas’ expose dubbed Number 12 which saw the removal of former GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi has disclosed that, the election board will be made up of members from former GFA executive committee members and the former chairman who double us the former GFA President.

Ghana football has been in Normalization process for 9 months, with the normalisation process expected to end in September 2019.

Mr. Amoah took the opportunity to congratulate Kumasi Asante Kotoko and all the teams which participated in the NC special TIER I competition.
