The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Ga North Municipal Assembly, Madam Gertrude Ankrah is dead.
She died at a private hospital after a short illness.
Although it is being speculated that she contracted the coronavirus disease, her outfit has debunked that rumour.
A source close to her said,”It is not covid, but the cause of death is unknown yet.”
Just a week ago, the MCE actively participated in the ‘My First Day at School’ programme where she visited the Pokuase Methodist school, AME Zion, New Achimota and Omanjor Cluster of schools to ensure students and teachers were adhering to the covid-19 protocols…
Meanwhile, the Public Relations Office of the Ga North Municipal Assembly refused to speak about her death since her family has not given the assembly the go ahead.
