A Fulani Herdsman in Mafi-Kumase in the Central Tongu District of the Volta Region has allegedly murdered a 54 year old woman.
Atinkaonline sources in Mafi-Kumase reports that at about 2:00am on Wednesday , a Fulani Herdsman, whose name was given as Idrisa Alhaji entered the deceased, Patience Amu sister’s room and attacked her.
According to reports, Patience’s brother who was in the house as at the time of the incident alerted the Mafi-Kumase Police.
Upon arrival, the police forced the victim’s window open and arrested 20 year-old Idrisa Alhaji who was armed with a long cutlass with blood stains on it inside the victim’s room.
Police entered the room and found a female adult about 54 years old lying in a supine position in a pool of blood dead.
Inspection conducted on the body revealed multiple cutlass wounds on the neck, the chest, the breast and the hands.
The deceased was removed from the room and deposited at Adidome government hospital morgue pending autopsy.
Suspect Idrisa Alhaji is currently in police custody assisting the in investigations.
