The Sekondi Methodist Church, Wesley Cathedral today held a burial service for the five siblings who passed on last two weeks after their building collapsed on them following several hours of torrential rains at Ngyiresia a fishing community in the Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis.

According to information, the landlord at about 7:00pm on Friday May 31, 2019, while raining he heard a loud bang followed by a deafening cry at the back of his house.

He got alarmed and rushed out only to find that the back of his house had collapsed.

On further inspection he saw a hand in the collapsed building.
He immediately raised the alarm which attracted neighbours around.

They dug through the debris but unfortunately they only found dead bodies of five siblings which include a 18 year old mother and a daughter.

The sixth sibling was at the hall when the incident happened.
