Five arrested in connection with lynching of 90-year-old woman

Savannah Regional Police Commander, DCOP Enock Adutuwm Bediako, has disclosed that five other suspects have been arrested in addition to the chief of Kafaba in connection with the death of a 90-year old woman who was lynched  in Kafaba.
Madam Mariama Akua Denteh was lynched to death in Kafaba in the East Gonja Municipality of the Savannah region.
The 90-year old woman was lynched on suspicion of witchcraft at Kafaba in the East Gonja Municipality of the Savannah region.
Updating the general public on Atinka FM’s AM Drive with host Ekourba Gyasi, Savannah Regional Police Commander, DCOP Enock Adutuwm, revealed that after the chief of Kafaba, Zackaria Yahaya, was arrested, he promised to cooperate with the Police to arrest the perpetrators of the crime.
According to Savannah Regional Police Commander, DCOP Enock Adutuwm Bediako, the five turned themselves in after the chief had made several calls to sub Chiefs..
He added that the suspects have been handed over to the Criminal investigative Department (CID) of the Savannah regional Police Command and have been charged Conspiracy to commit crime to wit murder.
