Fear grips Taadi residents as UK returnee “evades” mandatory quarantine

Residents of Baaekyir-Pariscoa, a suburb of Sekondi-Takoradi are currently living in fear as a UK returnee who evaded mandatory quarantine is currently parading in the town.
The President of the Republic of Ghana directed on the 21st March that all borders of the country be closed and all persons who arrived with the last flight after the announcement be placed under mandatory quarantine.
A resident of Baaekyir-Pariscoa, who agreed to speak to Atinka News on condition of anonymity said it is unclear how her neighbour who just returned from UK after the President’s directive managed to evade the compulsory quarantine for both Ghanaians and non-Ghanaians.
According to her, efforts made to get the appropriate authorities to attend to the man has yielded no result.
She recounts that she was directed to speak to the regional police commander which she did but the commander also directed her to speak to a doctor at Efia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital.
She added that doctors of the Efia-Nkwanta regional hospital  asked her to bring the man to the hospital herself, which according to her is not possible.
She mentioned that the family of the man is preparing to throw a lavish party for man.
