Award winning artist, David Kumordzie popularly known as Togbe Ghana, has organized an Easter giveaway session for needy children and hawkers in Accra.

The event attracted hundreds of street hawkers and children within the Accra Arts Center enclave. Among items distributed were nose masks, T-shirts, food and drinks.

Speaking in an interview with Atinka News, Togbe Ghana said the Easter giveaway event was organized for street children due to the group’s inability to undertake its annual clean up exercise at the various beaches in view of the ban on beaches to curtail the COVID-19 spread.

He said considering the overwhelming number of children who benefited from the gesture, it would be prudent for other corporate organizations, and philanthropists to come on board during the next project to increase the number of beneficiaries .

Togbe Ghana and his partners mondo4africa and Hope Source Foundation have so far organized clean up exercises at the various beaches in the capital including Accra Arts center Beach, Teshie Beach, Tema, Prampram Beach, Jamestown Beach, La Beach, Tawala Beach, Village Beach
