DORYUMU MURDER: Mother of suspect picked up by police

Reports indicate that police in Doryumu, in the Shai Osu Doku District, have picked up mother of the main suspect in the Doryumu-Abeka murder case, involving a 20 year old female bar attendant who was allegedly murdered by her boyfriend on Monday night.

The murder of Juliette Obu 20, at Doryumu- Abeka, a surburb of the Shai Osu Doku District has become a puzzle to many.

With all accusing hands, pointing to the boyfriend of the deceased whose name has been given as Kwaku Nash, alias Shatta.

The police have since arrested the mother of the suspect, who is assisting them with investigations following the disappearance of her son.

The murder of Juliette Obu a twin, has since thrown the Doryumu Abeka township into a state of mourning.

A visit to the residence of the deceased who sustained deep cuts in her abdomen and neck, painted a worrying picture.

Head of the family, Richard Martey, said they are yet to come to terms with the murder of their daughter.

Brother of the deceased, Danjumah Alidu said despite attempt to trace the whereabouts of the suspect they hope the police will do a good job in bringing the murderers of his sister to justice.

Meanwhile the Tema Regional Police command, say persons interrogated so far on the issue, have been very cooperative.

Mother of the main suspect, who is also reported to have been picked up by the police, has also confirmed having knowledge of an existing relationship between her son and that of the deceased.
