Covid-19: Wearing of nose masks mandatory till Dec 14

The President of the Republic of Ghanaians has announced an extension of the mandatory wearing of facemasks by additional three months.

In his 17th Covid-19 update address, the president revealed that he signed the Executive Instrument to make the wearing of facemask a law on September 14.

He explained that until 14 December 2020, it is against the law for any citizen to be seen outside his home without facemask as part of measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

‘The wearing of mask has served us well in the fight against Covid-19,” Nana Akufo-Addo said in his 17 address to the nation on Sunday, 20 September 2020 adding “Let’s wear our mask and do so correctly anytime we are leaving our homes”, he added.
