Covid-19: “We don’t have evidence of reinfections” – Dr. Badu Sarkodie

The Director of Public Health at the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr Badu Sarkodie, has revealed that there is no evidence of coronavirus reinfection in Ghana.
The virus which is no respecter of persons has infected some nurses and doctors in Ghana.
It was reported that in Wuhan, some residents who had tested positive earlier and then recovered from the disease are testing positive for the virus a second time.
Based on data from several quarantine facilities in the city, which houses patients for further observation after their discharge from hospitals, about 5%-10% of patients pronounced “recovered” have tested positive again.
Speaking at the covid-19 update press briefing Tuesday, Dr Badu Sarkodie said a lot of work is being put in place to protect the health workers who are risking their lives in order to help fight the coronavirus.
“A lot of work is being to protect our health workers. We don’t have any evidence of reinfection in Ghana, “Dr. Badu Sarkodie said.
