Covid-19: IGP directed to reinforce wearing of nose masks

The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has directed the Inspector General of Police to reinforce the wearing of nose masks at all places and in public transports.

Addressing the general public in the 22nd Covid-19 address, the President stated that On 7th January, he swore to serve the wellbeing of Ghanaians. And that it his duty to protect the lives of Ghanaians.

“On 7th January. I swore to serve the wellbeing of Ghanaians. It is my duty to protect the lives of Ghanaians. I have directed the IGP to enforce mask wearing at all places and public transports”.

“The Ghana Police Service will be  assisted by other security agencies. If the number of COVID-19 keeps rising I have no option than to impose the restrictions. It is better to be safe than to be sorry,” he added.
