COVID-19: Happy Man Bitters donates  medical supplies, cash  to LEKMA

 
 
Charger Group Limited, producers of alcoholic beverages: Happy Man Bitters, Happy Man Ginger donated some hospital items (consumables) to the Ledzokuku Krowor Municipal Assembly (LEKMA) Hospital on Friday as part of their efforts in fighting the novel COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic.
Some of the items presented to the authorities of the hospital were boxes of infrared thermometer, gloves, medical gowns, nose masks, gallons of rubbing alcohol, alcohol based hand sanitizers, tissue papers amongst others.
In all, the consumables are worth Ghc 34, 000 according to the Chief Executive Officer of Charger Limited, Dr. Emmanuel Bortey Borketey. He also presented a cheque of Ghc 20, 000 to the hospital.
Speaking to the media after the presentation, Dr. Emmanuel Bortey Borketey noted that it was necessary they took such since the Coronavirus pandemic affects businesses and families. Besides, the company having started in the Teshie-Nungua Municipality, it was worth giving to the LEKMA hospital as “its corporate social responsibility”.
He urged the citizenry to follow and observe the measures and protocols outlined by  President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and the health authorities.
Clinical Coordinator at the LEKMA Hospital, Doreen Atta-Fynn who received the items on behalf of the hospital, commended the company for their kind gesture and called for more support as the cases are on the ascendancy.
The LEKMA hospital is designated as a backup isolation center and according to  Doreen Atta-Fynn, they still need more consumables and supports to augment government’s efforts.
Also, Municipal Chief Executive of the Ledzokuku Krowor Municipal Assembly (LEKMA) Evelyn Naa Adjeley Twum-Gyamrah who graced the presentation and gave moral support to the CEO and his entourage, called for individuals and the corporate world to emulate the actions of Charger Limited.
