Government has announced a special life insurance cover for the over 10,000 health personnel and allied professionals attending to Covid-19 pandemic response.
A statement released and signed by the Minister for Health, Kwaku Agyeman Manu, extended his gratitude to the health officials attending to covid-19 patients across the country.
The insurance covers all Allied Professionals both male and female who have been deployed to respond to covid-19.
The statement mentioned that all front-line staff involved in the covid-19 response have been insured under the following order:
Group Life GHS35,000 per life
Critical illness GHS25,000 per life
Total Temporal disability-All causes GHS10,000 per life
Total Premium GHS10,309,919
