COVID-19: Apinto Divisional Council donates hand sanitizers to Awodua , two hospitals

The Apinto Divisional Council in the Western Region has distributed about 1,500 hand sanitizers to entire Awodua community and two other hospitals to fight against the deadly Coronavirus pandemic.
The beneficiaries were commuters of Awodua, Awodua Community Health Centre and Apinto Government Hospital in the Prestea Huni-Valley and Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipalities respectively.
The move according to the chiefs of the Apinto Divisional Council was to help prevent and protect the two municipalities and the region as a whole from recording the virus, COVID-19.

The Gyasehene of Apinto Divisional Council, Nana Dr. Adarkwa Bediako II after presenting the items to the beneficiaries explained that the gesture formed part of measures to help protect the citizenry from the deadly virus.
Nana Kobina Obu II, the Akyeamehene of Apinto Divisional Council in an interview advised Ghanaians to observe the hygiene protocol and abide by the directives of the government to protect themselves from the COVID-19 pandemic.
On his part, the Abakumahene of Apinto Divisional Council, Nana Kobina Nketsia II, gave the assurance that the Chiefs of the Apinto Divisional Council support the government decision by placing partial lockdown to some major cities in the Tema, Accra and Kumasi as part of measures to prevent and maintain the spread of COVID-19 in the country.

On behalf of the management of Apinto Government Hospital, Dr. Gabriel Sam who received the items, thanked the chiefs for supporting the government to fight against the spread of the virus and also advised Ghanaians to observe the directives and the precautionary measures laid down by government and Ghana Health Service.
