President Nana Akufo- Addo will address the nation at 9 pm tonight ( Sunday) on the progress of the partial lockdown he announced a week ago to contain the Covid-19 pandemic.
The partial lockdown currently covers Greater Accra, Tema, Kasoa and Greater Kumasi.
According to Information Minister, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, in addition to giving Ghanaians an account of the lockdown measure for the last seven days, the president will announce new measures to contain the pandemic, which has so far recorded 214 cases in the country as of April 5, 2020.
The president on Saturday announced a further two- week closure of the country’s borders to continue preventing imported covid-19 cases.
