Coronavirus: Ghana to observe national fasting and prayer day Wednesday

The President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa, has appealed to Ghanaians to observe a national day of fast on Wednesday, 25th March, 2020.
The national fasting forms part of Ghana’s effort to seek the face of God in fighting the pandemic.
This comes after Ghana’s Coronavirus cases shot up to 21 and one death.
Addressing Ghanaians in a live video Saturday night, President Akufo Addo called on all Ghanaians to practice safe hygiene to stop the spread of the virus.
The President among other things noted that Ghana’s borders will be shut effective Sunday 22nd March evening.
“Our survival is in our hands. All borders both land, sea and air  will be closed down  for the next two weeks, ” he said.
