CalBank donates PPEs to Effia-Nkwanta Hospital, 3 others

 
The Western Regional Office of CalBank has donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital (ENRH) to support the facility against the spread of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.
The items include gloves, hand sanitizers, face shields, surgical masks, infra-red thermometer guns, disinfectant breeches, disposable gowns, nurse caps, anti-bactirial liquid soaps, goggles, robber boots and others.
The donation was funded by the contributions of the Board members, Managements and staff of the company.
Apart from Tuesday’s  donation, CalBank  also donated an amount of 200,000 cedis to the COVID-19 National Trust Fund Fund.

In addition, the bank has also supported the Ghana Bankers Association to donate 10 million cedis to the government against the pandemic.
The bank, aside the donation to Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital also presented PPEs concurrently to other 3 hospitals in the country worth 230,000 cedis.
The other 3 hospitals were the University of Ghana Medical Centre, Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, and Tamale Teaching Hospital.
Presenting the items on behalf of the bank, the Western Regional Sector Corporate Manager of CalBank, Alfred Kwame Acquah, said that the exercise was carried out concurrently at a cost of 230,000 cedis to 4 selected hospitals.
The Deputy Director of Nursing Services at Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital (ENRH), Madam Naomi Owusu who received the items on behalf of the hospital thanked them for the kind gesture.
She advised Ghanaians to always wear their nose masks to protect themselves and their families from contracting the virus as the ban on social gathering is lifted.
