Bono East Region records first Covid-19 case pushing Ghana's total to 7,303

The Bono East Region has recorded its first positive case of the novel Coronavirus disease, bringing the number of total regions with cases to 15, the Ghana Health Service has said.
This leaves only one region (Ahafo Region) with no confirmed case.
The Director of Public Health at the Ghana Health Service (GHS), Dr Badu Sarkodie, revealed this at the information ministry’s regular press conference on coronavirus on Thursday May 28 2020.
He said details about the individual and how he contracted the virus is yet to be made public.
Meanwhile, 186 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded in Ghana pushing the total count to 7,303.
According to the Ghana Health Service, 2,412 persons who tested positive for COVID-19 earlier have also recovered.
The GHS update on today, shows that 95 more persons recovered since the last update.
