Gospel Diva, Patience Nyarko, has described the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) as a scam.
According to her, Atinka TV’s biggest reality show, Di Asa is more credible than the VGMA.
Patience Nyarko in an interview with Power FM stated that she was robbed of her award last Saturday.
Her popular song, ‘Obi Nnyane Me’ lost the award to Joe Mettle’s ‘Boo noo ni’ at the 19th edition of the event.
She also did not win the Gospel Artiste of the year award.
According to her, the popular television programme ‘Di Asa’ aired on Atinka TV is very credible than Charterhouse’s award scheme.
“Gospel is not about awards but you know, the awards motivate us. I am not depending on the awards though. I believe the hypocrisy has become too much and I will not keep quiet because as a Christian, you don’t have to keep things to yourself but voice them out.”
“I will speak but if Charterhouse thinks I have spoken out and for that matter, they won’t nominate me again that’s fine.”
