Today, May 31, marks the World No Tobacco day, a day celebrated annually to raise awareness on the harmful and deadly effects of tobacco use, second-hand smoke exposure, and to discourage the use of tobacco in any form.
The celebration has been affected worldwide by the Covid-19 pandemic as every country is adhering to social distance protocol, though, there would be a virtual Conference in Ghana by the Food and Drugs Authority.
In relation to this year’s WNTD with the theme “Protecting Youth From Industry Manipulation and Preventing them from Tobacco and Nicotine Use”, Atinka TV is set to premiere a documentary titled, “Shisha; A Smoke Craze” today at 14:00 hrs. GMT.
The documentary covers all aspects (Business, Lifestyle, Health etc.) of the “transformed” tobacco, popularly known as Shisha or Hookah.
The documentary by Ebenezer Madugu, also featured some top Nightclubs, were Shisha is mostly patronized.
