Atinka Media Village bags 5 awards at 25th GJA Awards

The Atinka Media Village (AMV), operators of Atinka TV, Atinka 104.7 FM, Atinkaonline.com, Ahoto FM and Agyenkwa FM has bagged five awards at the Just ended 25th Ghana Journalist Association (GJA) Awards.

On the night, Atinka TV’s flagship reality TV show, Di Asa was adjudged the Best TV Programme of the Year, Akan.

Atinka TV’s News Editor, Regina Asamoah also bagged three awards on the night including the Female Journalist of the Year and a special award for COVID-19 coverage.

She was also honoured by Plan International Ghana for her excellent reportage on girls issues.

Atinka TV’s Visual Editor, Robbert Tettey also received an award under the editing and Cameraman category.

Speaking after the awards, the Deputy Managing Director of Atinka Media Village, Mr Kingsley Nsiah-Poku was of the belief that the organisation has worked diligently to bag all five awards.

He expressed his gratitude to the organisers and also the public for believing in the Atinka Brand.

Mr Nsiah-Poku noted that the awards will encourage the management, staff, and all workers of AMV to put in their best and deliver to the expectations of the people.

He urged the public to expect a greater version of what the organisation is already doing in the near future.

Mr Nsiah-Poku who was optimistic that the awards will draw more eyeballs to AMV, urged sponsors of their shows to continue doing business with the organisation calling on potential sponsors to come do business with the AMV.

For her part, a Board Member of AMV, Mrs Ama Wood, popularly known as Maame Korea expressed her excitement about the AMV’s feat.

She encouraged viewers of all AMV’s platforms to expect nothing but the best from the organisation and stay tuned to it.

Mr Robbert Tettey also expressed gratitude to the organisers of the show for recognizing his work.

“This is my first time of winning the award and I am very happy. I was not expecting this because I was doing my job without knowing someone was watching. I will continue to do what I love to do most to keep soaring,” he said.
