It is that time of the year to honor and appreciate the relentless and indispensable efforts and contributions of media personalities towards the growth of the country again.
The annual Foklex Media Awards organized by FOKLEX Media Production is slated for April 13, 2019 at the National Theatre in Accra .
The award scheme which seeks to acknowledge hard working Media Personalities did not deny one of the Veteran Radio personalities in the country, Alexander kwaku Amoah, popularly and affectionately known as DJ Candyman currently of Atinka 104.7 FM the honors.
The Versatile Host of the Drive Time on Atinka 104.7 FM has been nominated Radio DJ of the year in the 8th FOKLEX Media Awards.
DJ Candyman without gainsaying has been an instrumental player within the media circles especially with his voracious appetite for music, making him one of the media personalities who will be at will and top to pushing the entertainment industry to the apogee.
He showcases this through his interviews with artistes who appear on his drive talk on Fridays on Atika 104.7 FM.
He (DJ Candyman) has unequivocally paid his dues throughout his journey in the media world.
DJ Candyman , who commenced his Radio DJ life in the year 1997 had worked with if not many, several Media outlets like Radio Lynk Kumasi Poly campus, Shalom Radio Brekum, Fox FM Kumasi, Hello FM Kumasi, Rainbow Radio Accra and many more before arriving at his current place, Atinka 104.7 FM to take over the airwaves as the drive time host.
It cannot be debated the level of improvement and elevation DJ Candman has brought on board as far as hosting of the drive time is concerned, especially with regards to the drive talk on Fridays , where Celebrities appear on the program to share with listeners their thoughts, plans and what have you pertaining to the entertainment industry.
He was currently commended by celebrated media gem, Andy Dosty of Hitz 103.9 FM for the great work he (DJ Candyman) had done for the station (Atinka FM) when the latter appeared on the program.
DJ Candyman has since commencement of duty at Atinka FM hosted great artistes like Kojo Antwi, Kwaw Kese, Ofori Amposah, Kwaisey Pee, King Promise, Adina, Manifest and many more, where he always impel these artistes to make headlines in the aftermath of interview following his skilful and experienced way of asking questions.
He has been nominated for prestigious awards on several occasions, including High Life DJ of the year at the GH DJ awards, Best Radio DJ of the year at the 2017 RTP awards, Life style and Fashionable award’s most fashionable radio presenter nominee in 2018 and currently Best Radio DJ of the year nominee for the imminent Foklex media awards.
DJ Candyman will celebrate 22 years as a media personality come July 7, 2019, and it will be worth the celebration if he grabs the prestigious award, best Radio DJ of the year. We wish him the very best of luck.
