A/R: Compilation of new voters' register long overdue-David Asante

The Convener for Pressure Group, Let my Vote Count Alliance, (LMVCA), Mr David Asante has commended the Electoral Commission (EC) of Ghana for the proposed compilation of the New Voters Register, saying the action is long overdue.
Speaking at a press conference organised by LMVCA, Mr David Asante lamented that, in order to ensure free, fair and peaceful elections, the initiative is in the right direction and for that matter, LMVCA is in full support of the subject matter.
Continuing his statement, Mr Asante urged all and sundry to come out in their numbers to partake in the exercise in order for the electoral commission to get a new register for the 2020 General Elections.
Reacting to the demonstration organised mainly by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and some other opposition parties against the compilation of the New Register, Mr Asante advised that the NDC take such demonstrations to their strong hold if they really want to mobilise the masses.
