Angry residents of Madina on Thursday evening blocked the main Madina- Adenta road following the death of another pedestrian.
The angry residents burnt car tyres and also clashed with police, resulting in a heavy traffic on the road.
Several deaths have been recorded on the road in recent times due to the absence of a footbridge for pedestrians.
The depressing development has sparked a social media campaign for the construction of a footbridge.
Government spokespersons have explained that it would take a while for the footbridge to be completed due to procurement processes
