Anokye Supremo flies to India for surgery

Anokye Supremo, formerly known as Daddy Lumba Jnr flew out of the country  earlier this week to receive treatment abroad.

The “Krom Ay3 d3” hitmaker started battling a huge tumour on his left eye in November and appealed to the general public to help him raise funds to undergo surgery.

Later in December 2018, an interview on Kofi TV revealed the worse of his situation as he was seen with both eyes swollen, blurring his vision as a result.

The musician subsequently appealed for $12,000 to undergo surgery in India.

Thankfully, well-wishers and sympathizers came together to help raise the amount, which helped the musician fly out of the country for the surgery.

Speaking before his departure, he made known that, due to medication from the Indian hospital, the tumour had shrunk.

“Even though I couldn’t receive calls, my manager told me of the good wishes and support from Ghanaians. I must say I was very surprised at the love and very grateful to Ghanaians,” he said.

He has also promised to compose a gospel song and appreciate all those who supported him after the surgery.

Kwame Anokye, well known as Anokye Supremo was in the news earlier this year after he was sued by his mentor Daddy Lumba over image rights.
