Maternal Health Charity concert which is aimed at raising funds to reduce if not eradicate the incidence of maternal health at the various hospitals across the region is slated for Saturday, August 12, 2017.
The concert sponsored by Outlook Minik has been in inception since 2011 with the focus on ensuring that pregnant women are kept safe through childbirth.
CEO of outlook Minik, Dominic Oduro Antwi in an interview with Atinka News stated that Corporate Ghana and the media have supported the idea of ensuring the safety of women as they desire to bring to this earth another.
According to him, this year's concert will seek to raise funds to support the Tamale West Hospital and the Efia Nkwanta Hospital at Sekondi-Takoradi.
Outlining some of the activities embarked on, he noted that in 2011 “we donated funds for hospital beds and medications for the maternity block of the Ridge Hospital, now the Greater Accra Regional Hospital. Also in 2013, we donated items in support of the refurbishment of the maternity ward of the Winneba Government Hospital in the Central Region”.
The 2017 Maternal Health Charity Concert will feature the Accra Symphony Orchestra, Irene Logan, Becca, Sandra Huson, Efya and many others including Lamisi, Euyu(Eunice music) backed by the Patch bay Band and a surprise guest.
