Akufo Addo to pass out 90,000 NABCO beneficiaries Oct. 17

The Deputy Minister of Information, Pius Enam Hadzide, says the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo will on Wednesday pass out over 90,000 NABCO beneficiaries.

The Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) programme is a government initiative to address graduate unemployment to solve social problems. The focus of the initiative will be solving public service delivery in health, education, agriculture, technology, governance and drive revenue mobilization and collection.

This new scheme – the Nation Builders Corps recognizes the role played by other pathways that currently exist under various government institutions and agencies. In a sense, NABCO ultimately offers a convergence for the employment initiatives landscape.

In an interview with Ekourba Gyasi on Atinka AM Drive, Pius Henam Hadzide explained that the ceremony will usher the beneficiaries into their respective NABCO modules.

He refuted claims that the government is busing the beneficiaries from the various regions.

He noted that the beneficiaries will bear the cost of their transportation from their various regions to the Black Star Square for the passing out ceremony.

“We know some of them are very far from Accra and so we do not expect all of the beneficiaries to be present at the Black Star Square on Wednesday. However, we have been assured that NABCO beneficiaries from about five regions will be at the venue for the passing out ceremony,” he added.
