Ahanta West MP donates medical items to health directorate

 
Lawyer Ebenezer Kojo Kum, Member of Parliament for Ahanta West Constituency on Friday, 24th January, 2020 donated some health materials to the Health Directorate to enhance the delivery of healthcare in the area.
Some of the items presented include, pieces of bed sheets, two motorbikes, two motor tricycle (Pragjia) and a 55inches Samsung Television set.
Presenting the items to the Health Director, Mr. Kum said, this equipment will go a long way to enhance quality health delivery in the district.
He said, health workers sometimes face so many challenges in trying to deliver quality healthcare to the patient so with the help of the motorbikes, health workers can deliver timely quality health service in the Municipality.
Mr. Kum hinted that, he has prioritized health and education as part his development agenda for the constituency, adding that, a lot of development in the health sector is going to bring a quality healthcare service to the people.
He urged management to ensure that the items are used to enhance quality health delivery in the Municipality.
He also appealed to the director to work hard to improve on the working relationship with the people in the district as there is a negative perception about the directorate.
On her part, the Municipal Health Director for Ahanta West, Madam Caroline Efah Otoo who received the equipment, expressed gratitude to the MP for the donation.
“We are much grateful to the MP for this donation. We were actually in a dire need, and we are going to make sure that the people benefit from it. I appreciate the MP for this kind gesture, and we pray that he will support us in many ways to get much more equipment like vehicles and motorbikes to assist in our outreach services to ensure quality health care delivery in the Municipality.’’
