Agrogemaa, the official Mascot for the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations has taken on the Sports Minister over her unpaid allowance.

Agrohemaa toured Senior High Schools and University campuses across the country as part of publicity measures put in place by the Local Organising Committee to create awareness for the tournament.

After two years of service rendered, Agrohemaa is yet to receive her last payment from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

The Ministry promised her (Agrohemaa) GHC 50,000 as allowance or wages and initial payment of GHC30,000 was made before the nationwide tour started.

The Mascot was promised that she would get the rest of the money after the tournament but nothing has happened after two years now

“Benji, when you go to the ministry, no one is even ready to talk to you. They will just tell you the minister is busy so come next time and that will be all” – Agrohemaa told Atinka FM’s Benjamin Owusu
