Member of Parliamentary for Mpohor constituency and also chairman of the Parliamentary select committee for sports, Youth and culture Honorable Alex Agyekum, has stated that, the hierarchy of Ghana football and Sports as a whole should not ignore the suggestions from Sports presenters and stakeholders.

Speaking to Seth Dadzie on Atinka Total sports, Mr Alex said “If you listen to some of the in-depth analysis people are making on our football and sports, then you will know Ghana have high level thinkers, the person has not had any coaching badges but how they go into issues and the solutions they bring out… then you know Ghana is bless.”

‘Had we put all their criticisms, suggestions and comments together as a country, and pick the ones that will help us build our game, Like we wouldn’t be here in at all,

‘But when they do it, then decision makers will be calling the bluff of these journalists and will not pay attention to the positive things they put out.

‘Where we are now, journalists should devour from insults and bring out the positive solutions that will help us correct our mistakes, we shouldn’t throw the babe with the bad water, and the leaders must pick the positive solutions these journalists will raise, it will help.”

Mr Alex Agyekum expressed disappointment in our Black Stars team, following their painful but deserving elimination from the ongoing AFCON tournament.

Ghanaians were of the hope that the Black Stars was going to end the 37 years trophy drought but got eliminated by Tunisia on 5-4 on penalties in the round of 16.
