Accra Hearts of Oak Manager, Kim Tyron Grant, has expressed his love for Madagascar in the ongoing AFCON19.
The new comers have been very impressive in the AFCON 2019, topping group B ahead of Nigeria, Guinea and Burundi with 7 points.
Many thought this remarkable feat was a fluke but the minors had other ideas by defeating the 5th best team in Africa, Dr. Congo 4-2 on penalties after the match ended in 2-2.
Though, Tunisia defeated and eliminated them in the quarterfinals, Kim Grant was all but in love with how Madagascar coach Dupuis fearlessly approached so called ‘big’ teams on the field.
Speaking to reporters, the former Elmina Sharks technical director said, “The quality was top notch, most ‘big’ teams are out of the tournament, with few left, this AFCON was very open to all teams and I’m very impressed with the Madagascans; their team did very well”.
Madagascar which is ranked 25th team in Africa and 108 in the world secured their qualification into the 32nd edition of Total African Cup of nation for the first time since the inception of the tournament in 1957.
The debutants impressed every fan and received much commendation from soccer fans. Ghana | Atinkaonline.com
