Cameroon head coach, Clarence Seedolf, has been released of his post with immediate effect after, Cameroon early elimination from the ongoing AFCON tournament.

Cameroon was beaten and eliminated in the round of 16 by Nigeria in an exciting game which ended 3-2 in favor of the supper eagles of Nigeria.

Cameroon Sports Minister, Professor Narcisse Mouelle Kombi, has announced on state television CRTV that Clarence Seedorf will not continue as head coach of the Indomitable Lions with immediate effect because “he is not fit for the job”.

Former AC Milan playmaker was appointed last year August as the Head coach to replace Hugo Broos, after he failed to qualify the Indomitable lions to the 2018 World Cup.

Seedolf 42, was expected to lead Cameroon to defend their AFCON trophy but saw that dream cut short by the super eagles of Nigeria.
