Addison International presents Emotional Intelligence Africa Summit 2020

An ‘Emotional Intelligence Africa Summit 2020 will be held on Thursday, November 26, 2020 in Accra.

The summit, a community learning event, is being held in Accra at the Golden Egg Hotel in Dansoman from 10a.m. -12 noon.

The theme for this year’s summit is’ Practising and Maintaining Ghana’s Democracy in Tranquillity for Posterity: the Role of Emotional Intelligence’.

The nation’s premier centre dedicated to building emotional intelligence chose the theme because, according its Chief Executive Officer, James Kwesi Addison, Ghana’s democratic credential was better as compared to those of many Africa states but it could be made one of the best in the world if emotional intelligence underpinned its policies and programmes.

The Africa Summit is the largest community annual learning event; which has the primary objective of creating understanding of the importance of “building emotional capital in Africa”.

Main speakers of the summit would provide insights into the importance of emotional safety and resilience in our lives, which will enable the audience to adopt some practical elements to use in their lives.

The summit is also an opportunity to showcase how Nanaanom (chiefs) have joined-forces with ‘Addison International Centre for Emotional Intelligence (AICEI) to ensure that emotional resilience is a capability that would be deeply embedded in every school outcome through the whole-child approach.

This year’s summit has distinguished speakers like Jacob Osei Yeboah, Running Mate Independent candidate to Kwame Asiedu Walker, Reverend Joseph Kofi Antwi (PhD), Clerk of GA West Presbytery, Mrs. Sika Coleman, an Educationist and Certified Counsellor, Emmanuel Dankeah, a banker and personal financial coach, Madam Eva Gyina-Bediako, deputy director, Ghana Education Service, and James Kwesi Addison, CEO of Addison International, with Daasabre Kwebu Ewusi VII, Omanhen of Abeadze Traditional Area, Nana Ewusi Quansa VI of Gomoa Mumford and Mamaga Nyarkua Tsimafonya VI, Paramount Queen of Sovie Traditional Area, as chairman and special guests respectfully.

“Our community audiences will be in Accra, with the rest of the world watching via our social feeds across Africa and Europe.

The purpose is to project everything to many thousands of Africans.

Our local VIPs are from traditional, political, academic, and faith-based organisation leadership, while our international VIPs are based in Africa,” Addison said.
