Properties running into thousands of Ghana Cedis were destroyed on Monday after a 6 -bedroom building at Tafo Nyiaeso was gutted by fire .
Some tenants of the said house, which is close to “moro market" in the Old Tafo Municipality of the Ashanti Region told Atinka FM's Chukwu Joseph that the fire started from a co-tenant's room.
According to them, though officials of the Ghana National Fire Service have not revealed the cause of the fire, it is believed a burning candle was the cause.
No life was lost during the inferno.
