2 more die in Gomoa Adam accident increasing death toll to 7

Two more persons who were involved in the Gomoa Adam accident have given up the ghost. at the Apam Catholic Hospital.

According to the Central Regional Police Command, the two drivers and the other passengers are still on admission and receiving treatment at the same hospital.

Five people died on the spot when the accident occurred at Gomoa Adam, near Gomoa Anteadze on the Kasoa – Cape Coast highway in the Central Region.

Initially, seven others who were in critical condition were sent to the hospital to receive medical attention but out of the seven, two have also lost their lives.

The accident involved a Ford Transit with the Registration number GS 6031- 20 and a Toyota Hiace with the Registration Number GR 5059-20 .

Speaking to a survivor in the Toyota Hiace, Mr Issah Abubakar, he explained that, he joined the car from Kasoa heading to Cape Coast but upon reaching a section of the road, he saw the Ford Transit wrongfully overtaking a tanker and in the process, collided with their car.

Meanwhile, Medical Superintendent of Apam Catholic Hospital Dr Paul Acha, indicated that the seven people who were in critical condition are now responding to treatment.
